Lost and Found

Fashion poooostt! 😀 How do you like the ambiguous title? It’s relevant and at the same time very full-of-it. A lot of bloggers do it, but I dunno how I feel about it yet. Thoughts?

Anyway, the objective of this post is to celebrate a personal victory. 2014-2015 was very demanding for me. Completely let myself go. Gained 20 kgs. Saw the aftermath, but did not acknowledge it. Blamed it on genes, on thyroid etc. Then, in the first week of November, 2015, I decided it was time for a revolution. An internal one. A change in lifestyle and frame of mind.

Made the decision a year ago, a commitment for life, something I’ve worked at all day, everyday, ever since… A better, healthier living! Today, I’m 15 kgs lighter, and dare I say, happy  and proud. That in no way means I’m skinny or even fit. I’m still overweight. My body has always packed some extra pounds in my face, arms and midsection. (Seems I lost the genetic lottery 😛 ) But, the journey doesn’t end here. Let’s see how far I can get.

My friend actually threw a party on 7th November, 2015. I had just started out, so footage from that night is testament to this feat. (It’s on my Instagram) That’s why I decided to wear the same look and compare. Funny thing though, the outfit was styled to conceal most of the fat. Except the face and arms, which you will see, are still fat 😂 Leggo!

Lost and Found OOTD

The tasseled crop top! My stealthy way of covering ze muffintop! You’re both in trend with the cropped top and also camouflaging any extra bellyfat with the tassels 😉

The star of the show undoubtedly, has to be the palazzo! It’s probably my favourite one! High waisted, flared out, rich marsala shade in a fluid fabric. What’s not to love? It’s very flattering on bottom heavy ladies, comfortable as hell and can be styled with ethnic, western and fusion looks.

The venue was on point with my outfit! Total coincidence 😀 Thematically the OOTD was wine and tassels.

The makeup look was clean and minimal with berry tones. The hair was sleek with the front section clipped back.

Unfortunately, the falsies make my eyes look weird. (I wore these for the first time) When I took them off, I noticed they had different band lengths, lash lengths, arrangement and density. They were practically different styles! Wish I’d noticed beforehand. 🙁

The lacy top has a see through yoke and a sweetheart neckline. It’s a boxy cropped top but with the weight loss, it looks extra loose.
