Bling Off Your Shoulder

Hi guys! Hope you had a great Christmas! This might be the last post (most likely) of 2016! Sure it’s been bad, but I just can’t believe it’s come to an end so soon! What? How? :O Anyway, New Year’s Eve is round the corner and I’ve brought you a look that’s party ready but not OTT. Minimalistic and chic, it will suit girls with a variety of tastes. Oh, and it features a new face, my lovely Munever (as I call her) so show her some love! <3

It’s imperative to me that you know of my terrible wordplay obsession and get my references. I’d hate for you to think I don’t know how to English. See what I did there? 😉 Anyway, it’s a play on Jay-Z’s “Dirt off your shoulder” with references to the off shoulder-top and the bling that parties call for. Now I know I promised 4 posts, but I’m giving you three, coz that’s what I’m about, apparently 😛 I’ll do a better job next year, hopefully!

Bling Off Your Shoulder OOTD

The look is versatile in that, you can wear it to a casual house party or a night of clubbing or just dinner with friends, however you choose to spend your new year’s eve 🙂

Off shoulder tops are on trend and this one’s actually a body suit and for you that means not having to constantly pull your top down while dancing. So throw your hands up in the air like you just don’t care 😀

The choker-off shoulder combo gets you twice as many style points! Accessories are minimal. Just a couple of studs and chains. The lesser, the better, especially if you plan on letting your hair down 😉

She’s got an asymmetrical bob, which we’ve french braided (half-assed-ly) on one side to create a faux undercut that play’s off her layers.

Makeup wise, I’ve done a shimmery lid with soft, smokey liner and some falsies for added glam. Coral blush with lot’s of highlight and contour finish the face. Oh, and it’s all about the glossy lip right now, so I’ve done a nude-brown lip and kept the palette neutral and minimalistic (as with the rest of the look) but you can switch it up with some pink or red.

This sequined sling/clutch that you can wear cross-body or just on one side adds some bling to the outfit.

The shoes have block heels that are practically wedges, but not quite there, so you can comfortably go long hours in them.

She had purchased the top a while ago and I helped style a look for her! Curated a few pieces to complete the look, so everything she’s wearing is from her own wardrobe. We’re planning more looks for the coming year, too! (fingers crossed)
